New York/Day 3

On Monday we took a boat cruise of the Hudson River. (Still freezing)!

Ellis Island

Pier 54 where The Titanic was supposed to have docked. They brought the few survivors here instead.

The Brooklyn bridge

We went and got pizza after the boat cruise and a "Medium" was ordered. Thinking a medium would be like a Pizza Hut size...uh that would be a NO! We wondered why the guy that took our order asked us again "medium". He was asking like "are you sure?"
I won't show you the after picture but there was half of one piece left.
Views from Empire State Building

Lady Liberty way out in the Hudson.

Cody and the Bull

Cody infront of The Stock Exchange

How smart was Tiffany's in building one of their store's right smack in the middle of the financial district! I mean I guy could grab some diamonds on his lunch break!

New York/ Day 2

We did visit St. Patricks Cathedral on Sunday morning. It was weird to have a service going on and all these people walking around taking picture's. I hesitated at first but it was so pretty inside that I couldn't resist. Picture's just don't do this church justice.

That afternoon we went to see WICKED. It was fabulous!!!

So black is supposed to make you look thinner but for some reason I look like I am 18 months pregnant. We sat 5th row which made this show even better.

Um so I didn't know there is an M&M STORE!!!!! My favorite candy on earth and there is a store that is two floors of M&M's. Didn't get any because pregnancy heartburn...yipee! but I love knowing my colorful friends have their own store. I got so happy seeing them many times in Time Square. It's the little things...

We bought tickets for the gray line and took the night trip to Brooklyn. It was FREEZING! We didn't pack well for the first of this trip. It was unseasonably cold. Runny nose type cold. We could have gone inside the bus but then you don't see anything. It's much more fun being up where you can see.

New York-Day/afternoon 1

We flew in to NYC on Saturday. It was the first time for both of us. When we got to the airport in NY I made one of my MANY bathroom stops. When I came out Cody was talking with some guy in a nice suit. When I looked at the guy I thought "who is he talking too, he looks so familiar", maybe an ACU guy? I think everyone that looks somewhat familiar went to ACU. Marty Turco from the Dallas Stars... Yea not an ACU grad. He was the nicest guy. We left Marty and walked a couple of yards and a group from Fort Worth Christian were buying pretzels. They were about to fly home from their senior trip. Seriously! NYC for a Senior trip!!! My class went to some forest/campsite/who knows in Oklahoma.

When we got to town we had an early dinner at Carnegie Deli. We ate here three times. I am not big on Cheesecake but theirs is really good!

Our hotel was just a few blocks from Time Square. We walked down here a lot.

We decided last minute to see Chicago on 1/2 price that night. I love this musical! We laughed because we were part of the Crown Molding we were up so high.

New York!

Coming Soon....

Mother's Day

I enjoyed my Mother's Day weekend. We spent Saturday night with Cody's family. This year we went out to eat so nobody would have to clean their house/cook etc... After dinner we all came back to our house so the kids could play.
On Sunday it was my mom's birthday so we met down town at the original Mexican Inn for lunch after church. (Let me just say the old one is soooooo much better than the new ones that are popping up everywhere).

Aren't cousin's the best. Sorry Garrett you have to continue to be the lone boy.

Our aunt Kelly is so much fun! She spent time jumping with the kids on the trampoline.

YCW Spring Show

I have been a bad blogger this month. I have lot's I want to get caught up on here in blog world. Garrett had his Spring Show for school. Ms. Shea always does a wonderful job with all of the kids.

Cousin Garron is graduating this year from the 5's.

Our Sweets came to watch the show this year.

We were even but now look who is out numbered...

Garrett called it and when the stenographer told him it was girl he was like "yea I know". We went to lunch after the appointment and when we were headed back to the car I told Garrett we had to take dad back to work. He asked why and Cody said his life just got a little more expensive and he has to work to keep up with the growing girl population at home.
I know the equivalent to Air Jordan's are headed our way some day.
