Happy Birthday Kennedy and Brecklyn!!!

I can't believe it was 7 years ago today that these sweet girls made me an aunt! I didn't take the day off from school...STUPID ME! They were born that morning and I stood in the hall crying on the phone to Cody because everyone was at the hospital and I was at school. yuk! I waited all day to see them. I remember holding tiny Brecklyn first.

We had breakfast this morning at the American Girl Doll Store in Dallas. Oh my, I CAN'T WAIT for Ansley to be old enough for this! I told my mom this morning that I would have worn her out in that store. AG dolls became a big thing after my doll days. I had no kids so it was fun to get to eat a nice meal and just be an aunt.

So you know how you can get clothes for the doll and for the little girl that match. My Jack of all trades sister-in-law made the girls an outfit and bow to match for them and their dolls. So cute and so Brandi!

This is the picture of the outside of the store. I like to scrapbook and I like to get pictures of everything that helps me tell a story on my spread. Anyways, I took this picture and then I hear over a loud speaker "no taking picture". "Excuse me?" It was some security man in his little security car. "No disrespect but what are you going to do hall me off to mall jail?" Oh I am scared! It's the picture of the outside of a building. Well now I am off with my picture to construct my very own AG doll store in my backyard. :)

Doesn't he look happy? A picture of what I will look like this summer. Big, fat and lazy...Greatness! I just can't wait.

Cade and Lily got home from China a few weeks ago. It's fun to be all together now.

Mom of The Year!

Today I got to clean throw-up out of a car seat!
Whoo Hoo!
The Joys of Motherhood!
We were in the car headed to church and then...all over her beautiful Kate Mack fur coat! It is clean and beautiful again and little miss A is feeling much better too!

Oh! and at dinner she sneezed a raisin out of her nose. I didn't even know one was stuck in there!

Last Thursday I made a last minute appointment to get Ansley's ears checked out. They had been red at her 15 month appointment two weeks before. Since I was going to work Market Friday and Saturday and it was the weekend I decided to take her in just to be safe. You know stuff always goes down on the weekends when your stuck calling the advice nurse or hitting up Care Now. Anyways, I picked Garrett up from school and he starts crying on the way to Dr. D's and basically starts foaming at the mouth (lot's of drool). I am thinking "great throw up in my new car"!!! He wouldn't tell me anything except one time he said his mouth hurt. He has said this before and thrown up. We get to the doctor and Ansley acts like a perfect child while Garrett is just falling apart. You would have thought I had made the appointment for him.
The nurses ask me what is wrong with him and I say I don't know he has been fine all day and just started freaking out in the car. They take his temp. Meanwhile I have been saying "stop drooling, quit crying" to him because he was making this big scene...a very insensitive mom. Ends up he has a low grade fever and they do a Strep test because I had told them about his mouth hurting. Oh it's positive! So my son has strep and my daughter has an ear infection. A twofer! I am sure to be getting the second bill for Garrett in the mail soon for the other copay I didn't know I was going to be paying.
He has been fine ever since. I never would have known anything was wrong with him had he not had his out of the blue melt down. His throat looked terrible like he had been in pain for days. I also felt a little bad because the nurses were being so super nice and I was basically saying "dry it up!" That was before I knew he was sick. He walked out of the office like a healthy kid.

Mom of The Year right here!!!

American Idol!

Who is your favorite? Could you vote? We watched last night and they were all so good! If you compare this season to all of the rest I just don't know how it's going to end up! I love it! I like to vote because I feel like you can't complain if you don't vote but last night I honestly didn't know who to vote for so I couldn't! It's so exciting!!!
Oh! and Go ACU for making an appearance on Dancing with The Stars! Anybody check out Chelsie's sweatshirt?

Just Between Friends Sale

I love this sale! My sister-in-law got me into it a few years ago and I have slowly started getting more involved in it. I put things in the sale but one thing I love is helping to clean up. Something about taking a mess and organizing it into neat stacks is just fun to me! (I'm a little type A) So the last two times I have helped with the clean up I am just AMAZED at the stuff people want to take back home to try and resale again. First- where in the world do you put it all?! Once that junk is out of my house it IS NOT coming back in! I don't want to see it again ever! Second-when I was sorting I noticed (no lie) that some of the things people put in the sale are from the 90's. I mean really!!! Goodwill people! IT AIN'T GOING TO SELL!!! why don't you donate that junk?!

Everyone that consigns has a number. When the sale is over everything is put in groups by number for the people that want to pick their stuff up. Some poor people have a TON of stuff left over hanging on the rack. I have to wonder "did they sell anything" and "do their kids have any clothes at all hanging in their closets" and further more how many outfits do their kids have at one time?
Basically when I stand back and look I would be so embarrassed for someone from a poor country to look at all of that mess. We have so much in this country. I will confess I shop and buy and make money on this sale but every time I leave I just have this "get rid of it feeling" when I get home. I want to clean out closets and just get rid of unnecessary junk.
I will help clean up again and I can't wait for the next sale!!!

There are still bloggers out there!

I love reading all of the congrats about our sweet baby #3 that is due in September. What I really loved seeing was there are still blog readers out there. I did jump on the Facebook train. I am on it but really don't do a lot and don't really care to. It has been fun to find old friends that I haven't spoken with in years. I love blogs because I can actually read what is going on with someone. I hate looking on a Facebook page and only seeing part of a conversation. It drives me crazy! I sometimes want to be Nosey Nelly and ask about a particular conversation but I never would. I have read other friends blogs that have mentioned the lack of bloggers. I don't keep up with it as much as I would like but I sure do read them. FYI if your name is on my link list I do check in on you a lot. Some of you need some new pic's. :)

I have something that I REALLY want to complain about and I keep hesitating. I sure hate to complain about church BUT seriously if you are sitting back in the kid/baby section and you don't have kids...MOVE TO THE FREAKIN MIDDLE OF THE ROW!!! I don't know how many Sunday's we come in hauling our kids with bags etc. and we have to climb over some older couple. Nobody EVER offers to move in. I will remember this when I am old. But actually I will be sitting down front so you won't have to worry about me in the back because honestly I won't want to be distracted by the kids. If you don't have kids why are you in the back anyway?! Why are you not up front? The singing sounds better and you can pay attention better. Somebody might say "why don't you get to church earlier then you can get the end of the row". Well that happens on occasion but I do have two kids and when you have kids one or more you know what it takes to get anywhere. You can pretty much guarantee that if I show up on your row I am getting up twice and you will just have to be prepared for that. I could take my kids to childcare earlier but I think it is especially important for Garrett to witness communion and tithing.

Go STARS!!!

Go Mike!

Ansley's first STARS game!
