I love reading all of the congrats about our sweet baby #3 that is due in September. What I really loved seeing was there are still blog readers out there. I did jump on the Facebook train. I am on it but really don't do a lot and don't really care to. It has been fun to find old friends that I haven't spoken with in years. I love blogs because I can actually read what is going on with someone. I hate looking on a Facebook page and only seeing part of a conversation. It drives me crazy! I sometimes want to be Nosey Nelly and ask about a particular conversation but I never would. I have read other friends blogs that have mentioned the lack of bloggers. I don't keep up with it as much as I would like but I sure do read them. FYI if your name is on my link list I do check in on you a lot. Some of you need some new pic's. :)
I have something that I REALLY want to complain about and I keep hesitating. I sure hate to complain about church BUT seriously if you are sitting back in the kid/baby section and you don't have kids...MOVE TO THE FREAKIN MIDDLE OF THE ROW!!! I don't know how many Sunday's we come in hauling our kids with bags etc. and we have to climb over some older couple. Nobody EVER offers to move in. I will remember this when I am old. But actually I will be sitting down front so you won't have to worry about me in the back because honestly I won't want to be distracted by the kids. If you don't have kids why are you in the back anyway?! Why are you not up front? The singing sounds better and you can pay attention better. Somebody might say "why don't you get to church earlier then you can get the end of the row". Well that happens on occasion but I do have two kids and when you have kids one or more you know what it takes to get anywhere. You can pretty much guarantee that if I show up on your row I am getting up twice and you will just have to be prepared for that. I could take my kids to childcare earlier but I think it is especially important for Garrett to witness communion and tithing.

AMEN SISTA! I specifically pick the row where I can get to sit on the end!
ReplyDeleteSee you tomorrow
Your post made me laugh! I was thinking just yesterday about facebook and blogs. And I agree, move over at church!
ReplyDeleteCongrats Chesley! I passed on the good news at Farrell. I understand the church thing, we finally compromised with Luke and would go get him from child care at the end so he could sing and shake the Pastor's hand. He is just now understanding about Communion. Lets be honest he just wants his "bread and juice":) Loves his snacks just like his Momma. You just keep making them move girl!
ReplyDeleteI agree! :) That annoys me at church too!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the sweet baby! Can't wait to hear what it is. :)
Love your shamrock blog page...i thought you were on my blog...send me an email and I can invite you...mine is private right now.
Hope you guys are doing well!
Congrats again--the Coopers
Chesley,
ReplyDeleteLOVE you! You make me laugh, laugh, laugh! I sat at the back at church all those years, too, and know just what you mean! You might just have to scoot some of those sweet folks on over with a flash of that sweet smile! Keep blogging!

Besides just catching up, I also need to learn how to type :)
ReplyDeleteI am with you on both issues. I love blogs but am not the best at facebooking. I love knowing what is really going on with people like you. I also think church seating is hilarious. I think our spot might have our butt prints because we are such creatures of habit. You are so funny. Keep blogging...I read your almost daily.
ReplyDeleteYou always say it like it is and I enjoy reading your blog so much...yes I like facebook not like I do blogs!!! I good a reading them....not so much at leaving comments and keeping my blog up to date!!! And the whole church thing is why we have started sitting up stairs.... I can find a row where we can get out and everyone seems to be a little more laid back up there.
